Jet Provost near North Grimston.

My details about this crash are somewhat brief, the Jet Provost dived into the ground from a height and made a large crater near the old railway line from Malton to Driffield. Emergency services drove down the railway trackbed to reach the crash site, which was reportedly alongside the railway near Lund Wood, Wharram. The pilot lost his life.

Pilot - Midshipman Ronald Geoffrey Maxwell RN, aged 20, of Liverpool. Cremated Liverpool. He was born on 19th September 1946 and was attached to HMS Heron at the time of his death.

I have not yet info regarding detailed crash location. I've put this on the Ryedale list even though its probably on the Yorkshire Wolds.
