Lysander at Clifton Airfield, York?

On the 7th of September 1942 Clifton ORB has the entry stating that a Lysander made a heavy landing, the tail wheel was damaged and the damage listed as Cat A(c). There is no mention to whether it was on the airfield or not.

The aircraft was built to contract 23637/39 by Westland's at Yeovil, after MU acceptance it was delivered to 268 Sqdn at Bury St.Edmunds in November 1940. It transferred to 116 Sqdn at Hendon on an unspecified date in 1941 and moved with the unit to Heston on 20th April 1942. It sustained Cat. A(c)/FA at Clifton in the incident detailed above and was repaired on site. After repair it returned to 116 Sqdn at Heston and served until being struck off charge on 4th October 1943.
