Halifax at RAF East Moor.

The Halifax swung on take off at 18.06 hrs and crashed after the port outer engine cut out. The wreckage with full bomb load on board then caught fire towards the northern intersection. The crew ran clear and the Station tannoy then instructed every one on the airfield to clear the area, soon after a massive explosion occured scattering the aircraft over a very wide area.
