Halifax at East Moor.
The Halifax overshot on landing after Ops on the 29th May 1944 and ended up
in the ditch at the Strensall Road end of the airfield in the early hours of
the morning. The undercarriage sustained some damage

F/O Lekis was later awarded the DFC for services with 432 Sqdn having completed 31 Ops with 432 Sqdn between 1st May 1944 and 25th August 1944 before being screened from Ops.
The full names of those named above are not 100% confirmed. It is possible that Sgt P Beaupre was Paul G Beaupre RCAF (later F/O J/89338), he died in 1998 aged 78 in Ontario, Canada.
