Europa XS at Wombleton.

On the 25th of September 2003 this aircraft was landing at Wombleton after a formation flying exercise with other Europa's. There were two on board this aircraft, the owner and an experienced formation flying pilot. What the owner did not know at the time of landing that the pilot was actually not experienced on flying that type of aircraft. On touching down the aircraft's nose wheel touched first and the aircraft bounced back into the air. By the time the aircraft came to a halt there was damage to the nose wheel and propeller and the engine mounting. The two on board were uninjured.
