DH-6 near Whitby

On the 11th of September 1918 high winds were over the North-East coast, the pilot force-landed the aircraft near Whitby damaging the undercarriage. The pilot was unhurt, the aircraft was written off.

The aircraft was built by Savages Ltd for the RFC. No service record prior to it arriving at 510 Flt, 252 Sqdn at Redcar on 29th August 1918 exist.
