BE2c 8 miles North of Scarborough.

This BE2c was force-landed north of Scarborough on the 9th of Jan 1916, the aircrft was badly damaged but returned to service after repair.

This aircraft was delivered from Beardmore and Co, Dalmuir to RNAS Redcar on 15th September 1915, it suffered a crash landing at Whitley Bay on 24th September 1915 and was repaired and returned to Redcar. After the accident above it was repaired again and transferred to Whitley Bay to be used on Anti-Zeppelin patrols. It was then transferred back to Redcar on 1st July 1916 where it saw out its service before being deleted from stock on the 4th May 1917.
