Hudson at Thornaby Airfield.

On the 22nd of March 1941 this aircraft was damaged on landing at Thornaby, Cat R/FA damage was sustained, the crew are not believed to have been hurt.

The aircraft was built to contract 791587/38 by Lockheed at Burbank, California and shipped to the UK. After acceptance it was issued to 220 Sqdn in late 1940. After this incident at Thornaby it was repaired although there is no indication of where this was carried out. The aircraft was later transferred to be on charge with 6 OTU It eventually became an instructional airframe 3467M, although again no date is given for this.
