Hudson at Thornaby.

On the 8th of April 1940 this aircraft appears in the 60 MU O.R.B. as "inspected Hudson N7267, Thornaby". This suggests it was damaged in a ground accident at Thornaby in the days prior to the 8th April. At present no further information is known.

The aircraft was built to contract 791587/38 by Lockheed at Burbank. After delivery to the UK was issued to 224 Sqdn at Leuchars in late 1939 before being tranferred to 220 Sqdn in 1940. After repair it was later transferred to 6 OTU at an unspecified date (and sustained slight damage in June 1942 at Thornaby) before going on to 83 Grp. Comm. Flt., followed by 1 RS from where it became instructional airframe 4768M in May 1944.
