On the 21st of May 1917 the propeller and undercarriage broke following a force-landing at Redcar. Damage sustained was put at Cat R/FA, it was
repaired and returned to service only to suffer another two other mishaps, one in June 1917 and the other in September 1917. Although damage was put again at Cat R/FA it was probably not repaired,
it was surveyed on the 7th of December 1917 and deleted from stock as "wrecked" on the 14th of December 1917.
The aircraft had been built by The Sunbeam Motor Co. Ltd. at Wolverhampton and delivered to RNAS Redcar by road transport on the 8th of March 1817.
Here it was assembled, tested and accepted on the 28th of March 1917.
