One of this aircrafts mishaps at Redcar.
On the 21st of July 1917
this aircraft was damaged at Redcar when it nosed over on landing near the airfield. Cat R/FA damage being sustained. The aircraft was repaired
and returned to service before suffering a further Cat R/FA accident in September 1917. There is however no record of its repair and it was
deleted from stock on the 5th of January 1918.
The aircraft was built by the Sunbeam Motor Car Company at Wolverhampton as a 504b but was then converted in
production to a dual control 504h. It was then delivered to RNAS Killingholme AAP for assembly on the 27th of December 1916. It was later
transferred
to RNAs Redcar on the 9th of May 1917 where it served with the Flying School.
