On the 29th of September 1939 this aircraft a landing at Thornaby airfield and struck a fence following a night solo exercise. Cat R/FA damage being sustained.

The aircraft was built to contract 766119.38 by A.V. Roe Ltd and delivered to 608 Sqdn in June 1939. Following this incident it was repaired and transferred to No 1 CACF on an unknown date. The aircraft was eventually written off Cat W/FA when it crashed on take off at Detling on 7th April 1941.
