On the 19th of September 1940 this aircraft crashed on take off from Thornaby airfield. Cat R/FA damage being sustained. No further details are known as yet.

The aircraft was built to contract 563935/36 by Blackburn's at Brough and after acceptance was delivered to 608 Squadron in October 1939. Following this incident above the aircraft was almost certainly returned to Blackburn's for repair in works. It was at a later date on charge with 4 BGS before transferred to 4 AOS then 3 AGS and finally 8 AGS. It was eventually Struck Off Charge on the 10th of October 1943.
