On the 21st of March 1939 the pilot of this aircraft was undertaking a flight from Abbotsinch to Ford and he landed at Thornaby to refuel. When this was down the pilot cut across the rough strip to form up for take off but collided with a tractor. The aircraft sustained damage, at present the state of which is not known.
