Audax at Thornaby Airfield.

On the 27th of April 1937 this new aircraft overshot its landing at Thornaby airfield, braked and overturned, Cat R/FA damage was sustained. The aircraft was repaired and returned to service. On 13th October 1938 sustained another Cat R/FA, again it was repaired but suffered a final Cat W/FA accident on 13th May 1940. It was then struck off charge later the same month.

The aircraft was built to contract 401786/35 by A.V. Roe Ltd at Chadderton and delivered to 9 FTS on the 8th April 1937.
