On the 30th of November 1936 this aircaft overturned on landing at Thornaby in a high wind. It suffered Cat R/FA damage and was repaired and returned to service.
It suffered another Cat R/FA accident on the 5th October 1937, again it was repaired before finally being written off Cat W/FA on the 1st May 1940.
It was finally struck off charge on 31st May 1940.
The aircraft was built to contract 437223/35 by A.V. Roe at Chadderton and delivered to 9 FTS on 21st July 1936.

This pilot had been involved in a incident at Thornaby as rescently as the 2nd Oct 1936,
detailed on this website. He was to loose his life on the 26th January 1942.
