On the 2nd of August 1936 this aircraft was reported to have made a force landing in a cornfield somewhere in North Yorkshire (location unknown as yet).
The aircraft collided with a haystack, swung and overturned, Cat R/FA damage being sustained. The aircraft was probably returned to Thornaby where it was
repaired and returned to service with 608 Sqdn for a further four years. It was to suffer a further Cat R/FA accident on 26 June 1940 and was
again returned to service. It was then transferred to transferred to Odiham on 27th September 1940 and dismantled and packed for
the South African Air Force for 2 FTS on 12th October 1940. It was finally Struck Off RAF Charge on 30th November 1944.
The aircraft was built to contract 410420/35 by Vickers Ltd at Weybridge and was delivered to 608 Sqdn on 9th June 1936.
