On the 30th of April 1937 this aircrafts engine cut out in flight and the pilot attempted
to make a forced landing but collided with a hedge and the aircraft overturned. The location of which is not known but it is presumed to
be in North Yorkshire. The aircraft sustained Cat R/FA damage and was later repaired and returned to service
The aircraft was built to contract 410420/35 by Vickers Ltd at Weybridge and allotted to DTD at Hawkers
for TI modifications on the 11th May 1936. It was delivered to 9 FTS Thornaby on the 21st May 1936.
Following repair after the accident above it was transferred to 3 ASU on 10th May 1938 and then to 29 E&RFTS at Luton on 28th July 1938.
It was later sent to 2 FTS at Brize Norton on the 3rd September 1939 and RAFC Cranwell on the 18th September 1939. Here it suffered
its Cat W/FA accident on the 7th November 1939. It was struck off charge on the 8th of December 1939.
