On the 31st of March 1937 this aircraft taxied into Hart K5808 at Thornaby airfield damaging both aircraft which were both repaired later suffering Cat R/FA damage.

K5814 was built to contract 410420/35 by Vickers Ltd at Weybridge and delivered to 9 FTS on 18th March 1936. It suffered a Cat R/FA accident on 10th October 1936, following repair it suffered this accident in March 1937, again it was repaired and suffered a further Cat R/FA accident on 28th August 1940. It was repaired and transferred to 1 FTS on 11th April 1941, here it suffered a further Cat R/FA accident on 13th April 1941. From here it was sent to Marshall's for repair on the 18th April 1941. It was later taken to Odiham on 5th July 1941 and packed for shipment to the SAAF as 483 for 2 FTS on 12th August 1941.
