On the 10th of October 1936
this aircraft parked up at Thornaby airfield when it was struck by Hart K5844. The collision damaged both aircraft, this aircraft suffered
Cat R/FA damage.
it was later repaired and returned to service when it suffered a Cat R/FA on 31st March 1937. Following repair it returned to
service only to suffer another Cat R/FA accident on 28th August 1940. Again it was repaired and then transferred to 1 FTS on 11th April 1941.
Here it suffered another Cat R/FA on 13th April 1941 after which it was delivered to Marshall's at Cambridge for repair on 18th April 1941.
After repair it was sent to Odiham for dismantling and packing on 5th July 1941 where it was sent to the South African Air Force
as 483 for 2 FTS on 12th August 1941, after which there is no further RAF record.
The aircraft was built to contract 410420/35 by Vickers Ltd at Weybridge and delivered to 9 FTS on 18th March 1936.
