Hart at Thornaby Airfield.

On the 6th of April 1937 this aircraft's engine cut on landing at Thornaby, the aircraft landed on soft ground, its wheels dug in and the aircraft overturned. Cat R/FA damage was sustained, it was later repaired.

The aircraft was built to contract 410420/35 by Vickers Ltd at Weybridge and was delivered to 9 FTS on 13th March 1936. After repair following the accident above it was transferred to 3 ASU on 10th May 1938 and later to 28 E&RFTS at Meir on 3rd October 1938. From there it was sent to on to 6 FTS at Little Rissington on 3rd September 1939. It suffered a Cat R/FA on 11th October 1939. It was taken to 50 MU for repair on 18th Januuary 1940 but the damage was recatagorised at Cat W, it was finally struck off charge on 30st January 1940.
