On the 21st of May 1936 this aircraft bounced on landing at Thornaby, the pilot lost control and the aircraft overturned, Cat R/FA damage being sustained.
The aircraft was built by Vickers at Weybridge to contract 410420/35 and delivered to 9 FTS on the 10th of March 1936.
Following this mishap it was repaired and returned to service and again damaged in a Cat R/FA accident on the 13th of Jun 1939.
Again it was repaired and transferred to Odiham on the 13th of September 1940, and then onto the South African Air Force
as No. 429 for 2 FTS on the 22nd October 1940. It was struck off RAF charge on the 4th of May 1943.
