On the 2nd of September 1936 this aircraft, Audax K5252, struck Tutor K3400 whilst on the ground at Thornaby, both aircraft were later repaired. This aircraft suffered Cat R/FA damage.
The aircraft was returned to service only to suffer a further Cat R/FA accident on 28th October 1938.
It was then to be again repaired and transferred to 1 FTS on 4th April 1941. It suffered another Cat R/FA accident on 4th May 1941.
It was delivered to Air Dispatch for repair on 23rd July 1941 and then sent to Odiham for dismantling and packing on 18th November 1941 when it was sent to
the South African Air Force for 2 FTS on 5th December 1941. It was eventually struck off RAF charge on 30th September 1943.
The aircraft was initially built to contract 389426/35 by Bristol at Filton and delivered to 9 FTS on 17th April 1936.
