On the 5th of February 1938 this aircraft crashed near Tall Trees Farm, Yarm, near the Yarm to Worsall Road
after the engine cut out on approach to land at Thornaby. Another source states the pilot was reportedly showing
off to his girlfriend by low flying, he tried to fly between two trees and hit them and lost a part of his wings.
Cat W/FA damage being sustained, the aircraft was struck off charge on the 1st of March 1938
The aircraft was built to contract 246267/33 by Hawker
at Kingston and delivered to Fighting Area on the 27th May 1934. It was allocated to 41 Sqdn. at Aden on the 10th October 1935
but returned to UK to 1 ASU on the 11th November 1936. It was then transferred to 608 Sqdn on the 6th January 1937.
