On the 21st of May 1917 this aircraft was caught by a strong gust of wind which caused it to overturn at Redcar damaging it.
The pilot was not injured. Damage to the aircraft was put at Cat R/FA, it was repaired and returned to service only to be transferred down to RNAS Cranwell on the
14th of July 1917. Here it was damaged again in a flying accident three days later on the 17th of July. There is no record of its repaired, and following being
surveyed on the 3rd of January 1918 it was written off as "wrecked" on the 17th of January 1918.
The aircraft was built by the Vulcan Motor Engineering Company for the RFC. It was later transferred from the RFC, minus its engine
and transported to RNAS Redcar by road on the 31st of March 1917.
