Avro 504 at Redcar.

On the 16th of February 1917 this aircraft was wrecked following a force-landing due to engine failure at Redcar, Cat W/FA damage being reported. It was deleted from stock on the 27th of February 1917.

This aircraft was built by George Parnall & Co. Ltd at Bristol and delivered directly from the makers to RNAS Redcar on the 4th of December 1916. It was tested and accepted there on the 6th of December 1916. Following this Cat R ground accident in December 1916 it was repaired and returned to service before suffering this accident in February 1917.
