Caudron GIII at Redcar.

The aircraft was built by British Caudron at Hendon and delivered to AAP Hendon on the 10th of July 1916 where it was tested and accepted on the 13th of July 1916. Days later on the 18th of July it was transferred up to RNAS Redcar when on the delivery flight there it suffered a Cat R/FA accident at Shipton, York (detailed on the Ryedale section of this website). Following repair it arrived at Redcar on the 8th of August 1916 and began service with Redcar's Flying School.

On the 5th of October 1916 this aircraft was wrecked when it crashed on landing at Redcar, it suffered Cat W/FA damage and was assessed and beyond economic repair, it was deleted on the 16th of October 1916.
