Caudron GIII at Redcar.

This aircraft was built by Britsih Caudron Co Ltd at Hendon. It was delivered to RNS AAP Hendon on the 24th of May 1916 where it was tested and accepted on the 26th of May 1916. It was taken apart and transported by rail up to Redcar on the 11th of July 1917. Following re-erection and testing there, it was accepted on the 2nd of August 1916. This aircraft then sustained three Cat R/FA crashes in the time it was at Redcar and its final one.

On the 21st of January 1917 this aircraft was wrecked following a forced landing due to engine failure at Redcar. It was then deleted from stock on the 31st of January 1917.
