On the 2nd of March 1917
this aircraft was wrecked following a force-landing due to engine failure at Redcar.
This Avro 504 was built by Brush E.E. Co. Ltd
at Loughborough and delivered direct to RNAS Redcar on the 10th of May 1916. Following an accident at Redcar in late 1916 detailed previously
it was repaired and returned to service before suffering a further Cat R/FA on the 22nd of January 1917. Again it was repaired and
returned to service only to suffer a final Cat W/FA on the 2nd of March 1917. It was deleted as being beyond economic repair on the 4th
of May 1917.

Flight Sub-Lieutenant Woodhouse was killed on 9th August 1917 serving with 9th (Naval) Sqdn RNAS, he is buried at
Zuydcoote Military Cemetery, France, he was only 18 years old
