Avro 504 at Redcar.

This aircraft was built by Brush EE Co Ltd of Loughborough and delivered to RNAS Redcar on the 10th of December 1915 and tested flown and accepted on the 16th December 1915.

On the 16th of April 1916 the pilot of this aircraft was on a training flight when it suffered an engine failure and the pilot made a force-landing near Yarm, Cat R/FA damage being sustained. The aircraft was repaired in situ and the next day it took off from Yarm to fly back to Redcar where upon it crashed there on landing ripping off the undercarriage. The aircraft was again repaired only to be written off in a crash at Redcar on the 8th of May 1916 and being deleted from stock on the 19th of May 1916.
