On the 12th of October 1941 the crew of this aircraft were undertaking a navigational training flight when
their aircraft suffered engine
failure some 65 miles off Filey on the Yorkshire coast, it was then ditched. No trace of the crew was found.

Sgt Paul was born 14th Aug 1918 at Elsternwick, Vic. He enlisted 14th Sept 1940 in Melbourne, Vic.
