Aircraft losses just off the North Yorkshire coast.

Compiled by R M Allenby 2006-2008.

This section is very much a work in progress section with lots of "unknowns". Its limit still needs setting, whether aircraft crashing many miles of the Yorkshire Coast are actually deemed "Yorkshire" related needs to be determined. I have tried to include any incident in which land based organisations were called out on searches or similar for aircraft.

Grid refs are not supplied on this website, this is to protect what is left of the sites. This list may not be complete but it contains all the aircraft I know of to date. As always, I would love to hear from anyone who can tell me more about any of these sites or any others not listed on these pages. Thanks. Last updated Feb 2008. This list could be endless given any number of aircraft could be listed as missing in the North Sea, I have included these after finding record of them by land based authorities. Thanks to Graham Sharpe, Howard Newbould and Richard Percy for their efforts in tracking down their ID's.
