On the 18th of November 1917 this aircraf thad just dropped a bomb on a U boat "2 miles NE of the C Bouy off Scarborough" when it suffered engine failure and the pilot force landed the aircraft on the sea. The plane was towed ashore to Scarborough by the armed trawler "Minas" and was beached in the South Bay, Scarborough.
