On the 19th of December 1917 this aircraft suffered engine failure in the Scarborough area. The pilot made a forced landing in the sea just off Scarborough. It was towed into Scarborough the next day where it was deemed beyond repair (although a photograph is in "Balloons to Buccandeers" in which it does not appear to damaged). The pilot was not reported injured.
