Whitley near Ellingstring, Masham.

On the 9th of June 1941 the crew on this aircraft were returning to Middleton St George after Ops to Dortmund. At dawn they descended through cloud probably to try and locate their position but flew into a hightop near Ellinstring. Sadly all five airmen were killed.
