On the 5th of July 1944 this aircraft is believed to have been damaged in a incident at "Darley, Yorkshire". It is assumed that the Darley stated is the Darley to the south east of Pateley Bridge. Damage was only slight - it was repaired and then written off on 26th October 1944, Cat E2/FA damage sustained at this later date.

The aircraft served with 14FTS, 16 PFTS, 96 Sqdn, 4 Del Flt, 1 ADF, 116 Sqdn, 31 TP Grp before being passed to the USAAF where it was when the incident at Darley occured.
